that particular problem is common, happened to me way back in the 90's, tow truck driver told me about it he said he said he seen it happen all the time, I was just scrapping by around then and any money I could save got me thru to the next paycheck, swapped that part out and she ran perfect again. It's came up here and there over the years since then, surprised the shop didn't think of it.
