What are you guys say the engine fans being on in 51° weather after almost an hour of driving of stop indoor traffic is normal? I thought they don’t kick on till like 220 or 230?

are you using defrost or ac compressor on?

if the ac compressor is on, the fans are almost always on.

OK, cause ac pressure over rider coolent temp.

someone with hptuners can probably show you the fan tables. but I'm sure it's fine

Stock fan settings in HP tables kick ON the low speed fans
at about 216. Then High Speed ON at around 224
The problem is that they still keep the low on until
it's around 196 at a small percent. so it has to drop to Zero %
to turn all the way off. I have modified settings.. way better than stock

ALSO: your temp gauge is basically a dummy light
anything from 160-200 shows straight up 210* on your gauge
You'll need a scanner that shows the actual temp to figure out
IF you have any issues in your cooling system.

Double check and triple that your climate system is totally OFF when
diagnosing the fan issue

ill keep a closer eye next timee, thanks for that info

im sure its fine... not over heating maybe i did have the air on low bc sometimes air will blow out of the foot well vents even when the system is off. so to stop this, when its warm out i will turn the ac on quick and drop it down to 60 so that way when i shut it off, ill feel a cool draft not a hot one
