Hi. . New to this site. ... 05 Yukon XL...Last Saturday I went to leave the store and the engine light, system stability light, & reduced engine power light came on. Never seen it before. I could not go more then 8 mph and would not Rev more then 2k.... Had to leave it over night. Next day it started fine, just check engine light was on. I had some one follow me to auto zone. ...4 codes popped up...p1516, p0120, p0220, & p0302 (miss fire on cylinder 2, not the issue for this post) I was curious and had them check my battery... It was a bad battery. .. They kept saying a bad battery can throw off the electrical codes and it should fix my problem with the exception of the miss fire. Worked great for 2 days. ... Then that Tuesday on the way to work same thing. .. At least it happened on the off ramp of the freeway instead of on it... After work, same thing... Had to disconnect the battery for a bit to get it back home..Checked the wires to the Tps, all looked good and not loose. . I am stuck between the TPS or TPP...... Any one else had this problem? What was the fix for your vehicle? Just had fuel problems few months back. .. bad gasket, had to drop the fuel tank and replaced the fuel pump after gas started spewing out of the tank when I was at the gas station. I was told GM issued recalls for this problem, but I don't think my car is effected by it...

I don't have the stability control on my 04, but mine did pretty much what yours did the other day (although a key cycle got rid of the reduced power messsage for me). I took it to AutoZone for the code to be read, and when I was telling the rep what had happened he said that it was more than likely the TPS. Sure enough when he read the code it came up with a TPS issue. He told me to erase it, and see if it comes back before I get to worried about it. It could have just been a fluke. Now that being said I do have a bad cell in my battery, but until it starts giving me (real) issues I've been putting it off. So so far it hasn't came back, but it's only been about 4 days sense it happened...

My 05 Yukon just did this the other day.

It happened right when my HIDs came on. I don't know if it was to much draw at once or what but I just cleared the codes and I have been fine.

On a side note I have had HIDs for over a year and this has never happened before. I just hoping it won't happen again......
