Engine OIL LOW message??

so thats wha it says on the dash....


i got an 07. a little over 41k on it rite now. ive switched to full synth oil since 9k miles was on there. ever since i have had an oil change every 3-4k cause i get religious with anything to keep the whip in tip top shape.

dipstick is good. oil was in range. the message showed up after 1000 miles after the recent oil change.

i dont get it. is it sumthin with the pump? some sensor issues?


anyone deal on here deal with this thing yet?

Funny this came up, mine just came on today as well and im almost to 4k miles. weird coincidence! It just started getting really cold here. How bout were you are? Dont know if its possible that the cold affects the sensor. Any one else?

If dip stick ok, then sounds like a sensor. How do you usually measure the oil level?

FYI -6 deg F over here and no problems.

Found out mine was a small leak, cant pin point it though. Any luck with yours Coolade07?

this happened bout a month ago. it was still bout50degrees outside

and today....a (warm) 6 fricken degrees!! but naw...havent done anything bout it yet. i looked in the manual to see where the oil line should be when its good. im gonna find out from my personal tech at the shop.

my oil is good for another month. still reading 52% on the indicator. its just annoying to hav that pop up all the time.
dammit!

happend to me 2 years ago ,i took it to dealer and changed the oil level sensor
