Worse case is that you will have to replace the canisters. Their are too, emission crap, easy to get too...forget the the name of the silly things...drawing a blank. Sure someone will help my mental lapse...

UPDATE:

last time i got this code was november...then the temperature dropped. i havent gotten it since...driven maybe 1200 miles since. any idea if its tied to heat? would changing the pieces tied to this code one by one do any damage?

Did you try a new gas cap yet? The code has to do with the vapor system. If a new gas cap doesn't fix it I'd try the evap purge valve, it's on the vapor canister in front of the gas tank. You can try parts until it's fixed. Also, if your gas cap isn't tightened all the way, that code will come up. It might have just been that. I wouldn't worry if it's not coming back.

Gas cap, charcoal vapor canister, purge solenoid. In that order. If you change the vapor canister, take the lines off the gas tank, and blow them out to make sure they're not clogged with charcoal pellets. Also, yes, the temp could effect this as the vapor pressure of liquids i.e.gasoline increases with heat.

gonna buy them part by part and change them out. do these make a noise from the rear when they go out? no CEL but i still smell the gasoline from the rear...just not as bad as when its warm.
