Does anyone know how to disassemble the 15+ Esky mirrors? I got some odd eBay but the black is scratched up some and a guy I know can repaint them but he wants me to disassemble them before he paints them. Does anyone have instructions for this ?

You are just curious about taking the caps off? I replaced my chrome ones on my Sierra (2015) with painted ones -- even with having the new ones in hand I couldn't figure out how to remove them without grenading the clips. It definitely can be done as the ones I bought were take-offs and that dealership removed them without any damage.

This video looks promising, at least after watching the first few seconds it shows where to put pressure...

**Note - I assume that the mirror caps are the same for the full suite of full size vehicles, apologies if they aren't

A thought here...

Bring them into the house for a few days or so, let that plastic warm and get more pliable. That should help to prevent grenading.

Yea they are off the truck as I purchased them from eBay. I got one apart today completely in about 45 min just picking around not knowing what I was doing. I only broke acouple things. I know now how to get the second one apart without breaking it. Hahahahaha. I broke one clip on the mirror cap, the puddle light, and the freakin turn signal lense. I have them completely apart as I’m going to have them all repainted completely black. They were scratched up some when I got them from handling by god knows who and my buddy wanted them disassembled before painting. Now to just order the broken pieces and I will still be cheaper than initially expected as I got a Killer deal on these. I will lay the mirror out completely and show y’all what they look like apart

To remove the screws that secure the mirror motor inside the mirror housing. The motor uses Torx screws so you will need a Torx screwdriver.

let's try by this.........

I’m not sure what your talking about.

This is a mirror completely apart. Every single piece. Only piece not removed is the power fold motor.
