thanks man appreciate it. I was gonna go with the 09+ esky mirrors but your exact issue plus the extra cost difference between the 07-08 and the 09+ persuaded me to just get the 08 esky mirrors which I then had to get painted Summit White... a color that esky's don't even make. Be sure to post some pics of your ride when you get this mod done, it looks great IMO.
