Is this for the 07+ ?? I took off my denali (same as escalade) roof rack, and recently put it back on. I do not recognize that part. And it doesnt look like GMpartsdirect does either. If I am looking at it right, it appears that it is the "seal" or base plate for where the screws mount to the truck... on mine and the parts diagram, it is one long piece from front to back on the 07+...

You are correct. His is from an NBS Esky. The piece you are referring to that is one long piece (from NNBS Denali/Esky) is actually three pieces put together on the NBS esky. I know... weird... only different part. Only reason I know is because I bolted on an NBS esky roof rack to mine.

BTW do you have the part number for the one long piece trim for both sides? I'm thinking about switching mine out to this actually.

Well my friend, that is the million dollar question. Where to get that piece? I tried about a dozen junk yards in So Cal with no luck & the dealership doesn't sell just that piece, they said it is only sold with the complete rail, for $300+ a rail. Are you missing the piece that the cap sits on? I bought a roof rack that had everything but those 4 pieces. I could find the plastic ends the caps sat on so I had to buy a WHOLE other complete rack. The 2007 and newer racks the plastic base was all one piece.

I have an extra set of caps that I am still trying to get rid of if anyone needs them.

well i called a few dealers gotta get the whole rail so im gonna hold o on that for now what i did was take the piece from my z71 rack and trimmed it with my dremel it fits pretty well and unless youre right on it you cant tell so im happy for now the only thing i didnt expect is on the rear end of my z71 rack theres 3 bolts and after putting the esky rail on one bolt hole still is uncoverd so i got some plastic trim clips sprayed them white to match covered them in silicone and plugged them up im going to do the esky back glass next i think the yard i got the other parts from has it and the applique is already in my color as far as the two hole my local body shop said they can weld holes closed and paint for 150 i know the guy personally so i hope that seems like a good price

Travieso - do you have the top "painted" cap or the black plastic gasket piece that sits underneath the cap?
