I'm thinking of painting my OEM exhaust manifolds...what is a good paint for that? VHT flameproof (I've used that for transmission cases before), POR-20 high temperature? Saw a much older thread elsewhere someone said high temperature grill paint?

I've used the VHT stuff, but not on manifolds, only to touch up weld areas like when installing O2 sensor bungs, etc.

Just for appearance. I painted my engine when pulled it to freshen it, and painted the frame. Exhaust manifolds are the only "rusty"-looking things in there now...
Gotcha. I coated a set of factory manifolds for my tahoe, but never got around to putting them on the rig.
I used a 2 part compound we had at my old job. It was used for coating the aluminum melting furnaces. It was applied then heat cycled to 400 for an hour, then 600 for an hour, then to 1000 for 3 hours. Then cooled down 100 degrees every hour to 100. Turned out pretty good looking but haven't put them on anything yet.
