Im gonna hop in here and recommend you listen to a Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler. It is not a glass pack and sounds nothing like one. If you are on a budget thrush sounds very nice as well. Going expensive then Borla, Bassani(not really used on trucks), or Corsa.

^this. My girlfriend had a Vortex on her 98 2door and it sounded awesome. I plan on running the exact same on my hoe when funds are available.

im running a y pipe to a flowmaster 10. i was actually really surprised it wasnt to loud. the only time i ever really hear it is when im getting on it. whether im at 30 or at 60mph its not noticeable. but that might also have to do with the fact that the interior is bedlined and then carpet over it
