So I put these on my truck at the end of April. I knew I should have gone with the flowmaster tips, but I let the guy talk me into an aftermarket tip. Can this be cleaned up? Or am I going to have to replace the tips? Both pics are from today. The first one is the passenger side and the second is the driver side. What are your thoughts on why one side is way worse than the other?

Hey funny how the right side has colored up like that!
I use Autosol on anything i want to clean up. Have a look online to see if it is available near you.

Would love to see the pipe configuration you have there. Is the left side running near the fuel tank?
Would like to do some tuned length headers and twin pipes 1 day.

Thanks. I will look into the Autosol. I have never used it before.

I don't get the truck up in the air too often and I am handicapped so I can't get under there. Sorry. But if I do get up in the air, I will snap a pic for you.

If that is surface rust and pitting, even after cleaning, it will come back. It appears that the chrome job on that tip was not properly applied.

Took it back to the shop that installed it and they replaced it free of charge. Only took them about 20 minutes to change it out. What a difference it makes in how the rear looks.
