add a good muffler, Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster,etc...any other changes would involve headers with small primary tubes, ORY,etc...so IMHO justa dd a good muffler for now in stock location.

+1 borla. A cat back, performance cats, headers. Long tubes are the way to go, careful though about emmisions and the possible no pass for the long tubes

Think he's not trying to spend 3 G's on exhaust.

You can get a decient rumble with a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler. Flowmaster will be louder.. and more noticable when you mash the pedal. Magnaflow will give you a nice tone on throttle.. but still pretty quite at idle.

Price the muffler out online.. or contact a local shop.. Shouldnt be much at all to weld it in.. or find a buddy and get him a case of beer.

I'll be doing this as well. Don't think I need to spend over $200 for a better than stock sound.

I never saw a price limit. I am all for doing it right the firest time and being done right then and there.

If you want cheap and loud, cut the mufler off and run straight cats, if you want too load and cheap straightpipes.

There are so many options out there and so many studies that have been done on each muffler and the sound output and HP gains.

But yes a new aftermarket muffler will make it louder and a bit of performance also. Doing a whole system is more noise and more power.
