Gawd, I miss miss those days when I knew everything.

x2 :)

i had no idea you could go to a "class" for stuff like this. not sure i would drop $300 a day for something like that but pretty cool none the less.

if you have a stock rear end and you gain traction after high rpm spinning you might be looking into a 14 bolt :)

x2 on the pictures.

Ummm so you're taking a class to learn how to go wheeling? Maybe you're not ready for a 6 month expedition.

This from the kid that installed end links in a school parking lot and received a ticket? What are you, 16??

You've got a lot to learn, so listen when on these boards as a newb. We're a pretty laid back group on this forum, but I don't recommend coming on and making comments that prove you're still wet behind the ears.

If you do change your tune, there's a lot of guys that would be happy to give you advice on how to mod and wheel your stock truck. Folks like Bowtie are excellent with suspensions and Jenna is the queen of engine mods...ask lots of questions and do your research and you'll be amazed what you could be doing with that truck in a few months,

I'm amazed that you know so much about me. I'm in college, thanks for asking. I don't have a garage to work in and I carry all my tools in my truck.

Yes I do have a lot to learn, I just bought this truck. I am most certainly not a newbie. I have owned four other offroad vehicle besides my Yukon.

I simply made a comment about a 4x4 class. I don't believe that a 3-day class is going to prepare you for a 6 month trek. I think that it is a waste of $750. It would be better spent going to a couple offroad parks and learning everything that way.

Good luck with your training and your 6 month expedition.

Now, now, everybody. Let's all take a chill pill and enjoy each others company, shall we?

Sparg wants to learn what the professionals do when it comes to inclement driving situations, I think it's a great idea. But everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and we don't need to have a pissing contest about it :waytogo:

I can't wait to see the pics though! Are you using your rig, or one of theirs? I would want to use mine, especially if I have a 6 month expedition coming up, may I ask where you're trekking to?

I've learned plenty getting my trucks stuck. I don't have to go to a class to learn how to drive.:sleepy10:

YEEEHAWWW BOYYY!!! LETS GO GET OUR DER TRUCKS STUCK IN DA MUDDD!!! Right, cause that tells you how to go do some "real" 'wheelin. Please.

Anyways, course sounds like a ton of fun. I'd love to go to one myself. There's always something you can learn from them, even if you know everything from getting your truck stuck.

Definitely using mine!

I'm in the middle of a big update to the truck so I'm actually rushing to complete the job by March. We're taking it out end of Feb for a few days to test all the changes, then we're going to really run through it during the class.

Most of our time is going to be crossing the US (still working on exact agenda and getting permits), but we will take a stint through Canada and then up to Alaska. I may join a group through Alaska or run solo, still working on it!

We're actually going through a lot of states guys on this forum live in, if anyone wants to meet up, I'd love to meet up and grab a drink or wheel...I'll create a separate post with all the details.

Sounds awesome. What do you all have planned for your truck exactly?

And if your heading threw Wisconsin during it, I'd be up for some wheeling.
