My apologies if this is in a thread, I tried to search and find it already but didn't come up with much. Can anyone comment as to their experience doing a trade at Laura GMC It's a 1000 mile trip each way for me because I live in Florida but they have the best pricing around. Nobody in my area will even come close and when you combine that with local dealer fees at $500 plus it really is a tremendous deal from Laura. I have a Mercedes GL350 to trade so for both tax and business purposes I need to trade, not sell local.

I've considered shipping my vehicle up there and driving the new one home but I don't want to go through all this only to walk in the door and have them lowball me on my trade. I gave them the stats over the phone and they gave me a rough quote but I'm nervous it won't "stick"

They are legit.
I took a 500 mile trip. No problems. In and out.

I had them send everything to my credit union. I firmed up the deal before hand.

They may very well be happy with a couple hundred dollars profit on a new clean deal, but don't expect them to offer you fair market trade along with it.

What year model is your GL350? I may be interested if it's a 2013 or newer.

who is going to service your new vehicle? Don't you think they would like your business, take the deal in that you have and let your local dealer try and match it.

My GL is a 2012 and trust me, I have tried locally. Local dealers are between 3-5k off the Laura price. If it was $1 or 2k I would totally stick to local but between limited selection locally and paying more, it might be worth the trek.

Any GM dealer can service the vehicle. GM Warranty pays the same whether you bought it there or not.

They may not give you the same level of "priority" as they would one of their own customers (loaner car, free oil change, etc...) but they can certainly perform the service.

Agreed. I am getting ready to order my Yukon and will get the best price I can. I'll then offer my local dealer the option to match it or come close. I'd much rather buy locally but money is money. I think there is a value/perks to purchasing from where you get your service... how much, who knows.

I just got my Camaro convertible top good willed by my selling dealership even though the warranty was out.
