I am looking to install the factory brush grille guard on my tahoe. Does anyone currently have it on their tahoe? Pictures? Opinions?

Thanks.

Grille Guard and Nerf Bars

Car looks great. I am thinking about getting a grille guard for my black 2009 chevrolet tahoe LT. Would you suggest me getting the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard (I believe this is what you have on your car), and do you have any idea where I would buy this.

Also I was curious as to what kind of nerf bars you have on your car.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Thanks! Yeah that is what i have and youll just have to contact a local westin dealer or buy one online and get it installed by a mechanic of sorts.

The nerf bars are factory, they come stock like that for the Z71's. Im sure you can get a set from chevy

Were you able to get one? and for how much? I'm thinking of getting one, they'd be perfect on my ride, they look cool.

That one is pretty ugly. I kind of like the kind that is just a thick piece of round tubing that comes up just below the grill. Anyone have a pic of what I'm talking about?

I think you are talking about a bull bar. Check my photo album, I put one on mine shortly after I bought it. It's a love hate thing...some people like the look, some don't. IMO it flows better with the Tahoe lines than a full brush guard, although I think the full brush guard looks better on Chevy pickups..

how do you think that a piece of tubed metal bent twice flows better with the lines than a full brush guard? dont get me wrong, i like the bull bars, but im sorry there are no better lines for that set up...

I personally dont like the full brush gaurd. I think its overkill unless you are going to go backwoods then you need to protect the headlights. For more urban protection for people who cant park the Bull bar works for me. Its lower and cover more of the bumper.
