Hey Everyone new to the Forum and found a lot of usefull info so far.
Here is my problem. I have a 2007 Tahoe LTZ with factory bose and RES. It will not play dvd or CDs. It just stays in the reading disc mode. on the upper menu options that would normally read DVD now has DISC listed. My wife said she let it read for a while then it looked like it was going to work then nothing. After that she pulled out the DVD and there are a circular scratch in the DVD. I have not seen it yet since they were heading to Orlando. Sucks for the kids no TV.
Can you repair just the DVD portion or I am SOL and need the whole unit? Everything else works fine Nav and radio.

big plus in my book but sounds like it happend out of the blue.
