Hey fellas.
I used the search button and didn't find the answer. So here is the deal. 99 OBS Tahoe. It didn't have factory remote access. And i get a free remote receiver, but never thought about wirin till this moment. So is it just plug and play or i'm gonna need to route the wires etc for correct installation?

if not installed previously chances are the connector harnesses might be there but other certain wiring provisions may not. you will have to get under there and see if the connectors are there and go from there.

YOu're right. Conncetor is totally different. And it doesn't have some wires. So it's not simple p'n'p stuff

If the connector looks different then it probably belongs to another device. can you get a pic of it? is it colored yellow by any chance?

Uh those don't match at all. Unplug it before damage is done. That connector looks strongly like the interior light module connector. All the wires match that device diagram.
