Can you add the factory trailer brake controller to an Escalade after the fact?

I see I can buy the panel online but not sure if the wiring is behind the dash or not.

No you can’t add the factory controller you will have to go aftermarket. The wiring should be there but the computer can’t be programed to make the factory panel work. Aftermarket market is a simple hook up if the wiring is there as it's plug and play. My brother-in-law just went through this and all the wiring was there just buy the controller for your vehicle no splicing just connect to the connectors and mount the controller. Very easy.

What if you add this module?

Best thing to do is call the dealer parts dept and have them run your Vin and see if you have a Jl1 code if you do then they should be able to do it but even with the module it still has to be programed if not your out of luck you will have to go aftermarket. It will be very pricey if they can but highly doubt it. My brother in law just went through all that.
