Factory XM w/ aftermarket radio

If I install a new radio with Xm can the factory antenna b used, also I u dersta d that there is an adapter to use the steering wheel controls...

All i know is when i replaced the factory head unit with my JVC KNW800HDT i lost the factory sirriusxm but i ended up just purchasing a seperate sirriusxm tuner to plug into the back of the jvc unit works great, as for the module for steering wheel controls i tried the gmos and it failed, then i stepped up to the PAC unit and it works great. Takes a little time to set up but well worth it.
