Not long after I did my motor swap, I pulled the door trim off all four doors as they were starting to curl and turn yellow. I was left with this.

20230527_124027.jpgI know nothing about body work/paint. Suggestions would be appreciated!

An experienced car detail guy may be able to do a color restoration process that blends it all in.

Depending on how much residue is left you can use an eraser wheel to remove it, or an adhesive cleaner (3M is best). After that use a buffer and polish to go over the affected area to try to blend it in. It’s not going to be 100% but it won’t be as noticeable as it is now.

I second that^ I’ve removed moldings for multiple trucks of my own and friends
60$ to get a harbor freight variable speed buffer 2-3 different cutting pads and some meguires polishing compounds and it’ll be looking as good as new
Probably won’t be perfect but you won’t notice

That'll give me the excuse I need to buy that milwaukee cordless polisher I've been eyeballing. This is a process that someone with common sense can expect decent results from? Any tips?

When I did mine, I went to “YouTube University”. There were a few channels I found with step-by-step instructions. I think one was chemicalguys and maybe the other was chrisfix…I really can’t remember though, so just google it. Good luck! You got this.
