 Yeah, I just got done looking at your album, too :D

Is the rivet up on the top right of that vent in the picture? It's kinda hard to tell. I'm going to bet that they'll have to spray both of the colors and redo the pinstripe on the fenders in order to get the holes taken care of and painted back right.

I'm really surprised that those aren't just the stick on type since obviously they aren't real vents and are just for "show".

The long piece in the middle is a seperate part. It attaches using double sided tape. Then if you look under the edge of it you can see to metal rivet or screw heads that appear to attach the bigger portion of the vent thing to the body. The bigger portion also uses double sided tape. If it is indeed riveted/screwed to the body is it major overkill!!!

Yes, I know my ride is extremely dirty (Indiana winters).

Believe me...I know all about the rides being dirty living in KC. My daily hasn't been cleaned in several weeks due to all the snow we've gotten :whymewhyme:

I will mess with it on Saturday when I am not all dressed up and at work. I am thinking about lifting it and think it will look really ugly lifted with the fake Escalade vents.

I think you're right. I'm not a big fan of the fender vent fad no matter if it's lifted, lowered or stock height :) It'll probably be worth the expense to get it taken care of. Overall, you've got a really nice XL! :waytogo:

If the fender does have holes, anyone have an idea to cover them until I can get to a body shop (summer)?

Thanks! I am very happy with it.

Before anyone suggests it, I will not put those stupid numbers representing my rim size over the holes! lol.

Nope.

Mabe a nice NOS sticker would work... cover the holes and add like 50 horses at the rear wheels!!! lol.

:laughing1: If you put a "Summit Racing" sticker next to the NOS sticker you could easily double that extra HP output!!! :waytogo:

I didn't even think of that, thanks bro! I wonder if Autozone carries them!? haha

I was thinking maybe some sort of billet emblem or logo, but I have not seen anything that doesn't look too ricer.

I wonder how they would look painted? They would blend in then.
