Well even before I had window tint or anything the lights were on, rarely they are off lol

Dang, sorry couldn't help anyfurther. I don't like the auto headlight feature anyway so I always disable it as soon as I start her up. makes it difficult to turn off/on headlights for signaling. Just in case you didn't know, pressing the bypass button 4 times until it "dings" turns off the auto feature (this is in 2002 yukon- may not be same for your year.)
