I like. So you plan on doing HIDs at a later date?

Maybe HID, but def a set of projectors. I have everything right now but the color shrouds I want.

You won them for $2.50??
Wow, deal of the year there.

Almost the deal of the year...but I got them for 52.50 shipped to me.

SW CT,
One thing to remember people is that these are halogen projectors, not HID projectors. The pic of the output does show a cut-off of sorts, but not the distinct true HID projector cut-off. It appears that the cut-off is very similar to the stock fogs.
I am by no means knocking the OP, I think it is a good option for those who want to match their fogs and hid retrofit visually, though some sort of shroud is needed to clean up the look and hide the black mounting flange. The question I have is does the projector seperate from the black mounting flange or is it one-piece? If it's two-piece then I am sure that a HID projector can be found to fit in the flange.

Jeremy,
Nice retrofit. I like it! I just have a couple of questions - more curiosity then anything.

Is the light output improved over the factory fog lights? You mentioned that it was better then what you had (which was nothing), so you might not be able to answer this. They do look brighter in the pictures, but I was just wondering if the "projector" in this case made a huge difference. If I am not mistaken, I think these are the fog lights that are on the Equinox (at least the '05). When I still had that vehicle, I remember those putting out some decent light, sometimes even better then the headlights...well, the low beams anyhow.

Also what kind of wiring/modifications did you have to do, if any? I guess I'm just curious what would be involved in replacing the factory fog lights with these?

looks killer. Maybe i should do something with the projectors i have laying around in my garage. The SS cover blocks almost all usefull lights from the fogs, not that they were any good to begin with.

My SSV did not have the factory fogs. However I did buy a set and installed them. The light output was nothing from the factory fogs compared to what you see with the projectors. Now that I have them aligned right the light output is better then the factory fogs, and seems more direct. The projectors use a H11 bulb compared to the bulb of the factory which I think was a 5202. As far as wiring goes. I had to wire the fogs into my Tahoe. The factory set I bought came with a relay and wire. Its straight forward on the install.

The little H11 projectors are actually quite decent. There are a few variations around, like these and the Terrain ones (that I had and tested), which are believe are the exact same H11 projector with slightly different brackets around them for different vehicles. They also take to HIDs quite well as they have a permanent cutoff shield inside them.

Their only downside in putting them on a Tahoe/Yukon is the esthetic one. Obviously on the vehicles they are designed for, that entire plastic assembly is meant to go behind the bodywork not in front. But I'm guessing due to the strange asymmetrical design of the back of these bumpers that was impossible. That said, they actually look as good as they are going to look on BP's truck because of the existing black/white color combo ... I wonder if some sort of custom plastic cap is possible to cover the exposed plastic.

Anyhoot, if one isn't finicky about having everything looking correct this is a great solution that will result in functional fog lamps.

Well done PB.

How do these mount to the bumper? I have the factory fogs, wondering if they just fall into place or what.

Someone please do a mini writeup on this.

I have a SLE Yukon and I do not have any fogs at all..... just the black plastic plugs. I would rather do this over the factory ones.
