gentlemen - you are the best. I re-connected the two grounds and it fired right up. and good news is the new PS pump works great too with no leaks. I'm sure I saved a few hundred bucks there. again thanks this was terrific. My last resort was gonna be having it towed to a dealer and that woulda pretty much wiped away any savings on the job.

He went from having the Big 3 to just 2. The testament to the big 3 and the chaos they can cause! Lets take a bow, now get your butts outside, pop the hood on your C/K chassis and check for corrosion, loose connections, rotting of the wire (road salt!) and wire chaffing of your ground connections behind the engine block on the firewall. Do it once and be done with it...for years.
