im gonna be using my tahoe as a tow rig for my track car so i picked up the Firestone airbag kit for $260 at Summit Racing. it took 4 hours for the install (i took my time) and honestly if your not used to working on cars and have no patience then i would pay to have it done. YES its a direct bolt on kit but the stock bumpstop bolts takes a bit of talent to remove, i soaked them in PB blaster the day before but even with that, some of the angles i used to remove them were pretty difficult. i could see how someone would easily round off the nuts. the passenger side was the hardest, it took alot of patience to install the assembly past exhuast pipe, over the axle and under the frame rail.

but after everything was done i went to the gas station to air up and i couldnt believe how quick it raised the tahoe. i was really happy with the out come. so all i need to do is install my brake control kit with the harness kit from E-trailer.com that should be here this week. after ill get some new tires and im ready ill be ready to tow.

i didnt take any measurements or max it out, i filled it to 70 PSI per the manual and checked for leaks after then i knocked the pressure down to 50 PSI. i may even knock it down more because it looks a lil high right now.

the compressor is at the gas station..haha.. Ive got the same kit on my Hoe and love it. I recommend getting a 12v pump to carry with you...and anything over 30lbs with out a load is gonna beat the crap outta you. After driving it a while you will find a psi that comfortable. I ran a single fill setup though...looks good!..you can get a solid 3 inches of lift out of them

i have them on my two door but i have a compressor with everything ran into the console. only thing that pisses me off is im lowered and due to the bag placement(whoever installed it before i got it)..it makes the passenger side have a 1/2 lean with air in them. i guess the guy who did it didnt own a tape measure.

looks good though man...should def help
