I'm new to the world of Yukon. Just bought a 2016 SLT that will be my wife's primary driver (replacing an '09 Traverse). I've always been a big fan of forums related to particular vehicles in the past so I went looking and found this place. Hopefully I can provide and receive some helpful info in the future. I always have questions and where better to look for answers than with people who are in the same boat (no pun intended). Here's a pic of the Yukon before leaving the dealer.

You made a good choice for your wife, and nothing like a black SUV, hope the best for you two. Good luck and stop in often.:welcome:to the forum.

It looks great!

Did they tint the front windows for you?

Looks like they also added the Denali grille to an SLT and added 22" wheels but you lucked out with Continental tires. The OEM Bridgestones are pretty bad. How'd you pull that off?

Everything was as is when we made the purchase. The previous owner (it was a corporate car) had done the updates. The front windows are tinted, but we're having them re-done today to match the rears. The grille, wheels and tires were an upgrade, also done by the previous owner. I'm glad to hear the tires are better than the factory ones. That was one thing I missed in my research before we made the purchase.

My next update will probably be the headlamps. I'd like to go with an HID kit to match the rest of the LED lights instead of the halogens. I got a quote for $255 to do the low/high beams and the fogs. I'm still researching as I am a bit of a DIY'er, to see if I can find a better deal and do it myself. I'll be browsing the board for what seems to work best.

Nice! We have legal tint on the fronts, and backing up in the rain is tough.

Rims are smooth

Thanks. I can't wait for a good day to clean it up. It was raining the day we bought it, then they salted the roads and it snowed, so it hasn't been clean since we drove it home from the dealership.

The matched tint seems to be fine for us so far. Backup cam seems to be ok but has some issues in the rain apparently. I'm looking into the brighter LED replacement bulbs that were recommended in another post that help some with this issue.
