maybe it's cracked then, you could try going in there with a tilt mirror and flashlight or a inspection camera and take a looki did. i think its got broken teeth on flex
I don’t recall at the moment how much the flex cost but I know I got the paperwork someplace. The guy who ultimately fixed it explained my flex was eating the starters because of bad teeth. He fixed it in probobly 2006-7 and been reliable since. Get a new bolt as well, that can’t be helping the issue.how much was the new flex..yea ive put new starters on have two new ones now lol. shims everything.. only thing i havent done is replaced the bolts on the starter one seems a little bent
yea i assumed it would bepriceyDefinitely not a cheap issue to repair since the transmission needs to be dropped to replace the flex plate. Had to do it for both of my Express vans, and my Tahoe.
