ive done a little research into it but im looking to put a 40 series muffler on my 99 tahoe. 5.7L... im just curious if anyone here has actually has it and what you would recommend i do? Im not looking to spend a fortune on exhaust but i want a better flowing one that sounds good. My experience with the 40 series is great and i havent found a person that wouldnt recommend it.... yet...

first then

Good sounding mufflers, have used many 40 series. I actually have the 50 on mine though, but 40 on many other vehicles over the years.

I've had the 40 series flows on several trucks and have always loved them!

Love my 40's too. Though just a heads up....on the fwy, it's a little loud when on the throttle if you want to have conversation with your passengers.

Meh, conversations are overrated! :D

I've noticed that if the windows are up it's not too bad but if the windows are down then yes it can get difficult due to the roar at 70 - 75 mph with 40 series Flows! :)

 Well, maybe I'm deaf enough that I don't hear it as much with the windows up and in the past I've always had them in trucks and not in my Burb yet :)

got 50's on my hoe and love it..not to loud not to quite just right....

I've heard that about the 50's that they offer the growl at take off but at cruising speeds it's nice and mellow!
