I have an 05 LT with the squarish fogs. i have replaced 2x and they are cheaply made. They turn black and get moisture in the quickly. Who makes a quality replacement. Are there any mods to either the stock units or replacements that will make them brighter?

I had some of these on my nbs, they are pretty easy to mod onto the factory fog light bracket, they can plug into the factory wiring and will work with the factory switch with no other modifications needed, these are 12 led cree type you can just search on ebay or amazon for the same or similar ones they run about $85 or so, they are extremely bright and extremely tough and waterproof, these ones were on my ex wifes 04 and she rear ended somebody didn't even make a dent in them it just broke off the factory bracket, I had another set on my 2000 for 2-3 years and the new owner still has them on there and they still work perfectly.

Thanks, just ordered a set and will see how they do. Did the fit behind the panel or did you have to mount them in front?

if you just unbolt your old fog lights and drill a hole in the factory bracket these will mount right up in place of the old ones, and they can be adjusted as needed with the adjustable mount those come with, you will see what I mean when you have them in hand. so there almost a direct replacement sort of, they will fit right in the same spot as the factory ones.
if you look at my photo you will see I slid the led mounting bracket all the way over to one side.

Those are the exact same ones I have, right down to the brackets. All I needed to do with mine was make a 2" spacer (piece of 1/8" steel stock) to move the lights rearward in the openings. I didn't want to be able to stand even with the bumper, and look down and see the lights sticking out.
