The fog lamps are controlled by the BCM, and it's going to be pretty much imposable to control the light bar with the OEM fog button. Basically the OEM button is a momentary style switch. When you press it is sends a pulse to the BCM which tells the BCM to activate the fog lamps. The BCM then turns the fogs on/off in accordance with the high beam lamp circuit. Getting the fog lamps to auto come on with the headlamps can be done. Having them always on regardless of the high beam can also be done, but getting the OEM circuit to totally control fogs, and a light bar is not going to happen. The easiest way you're going to make this work is to wire the light bar up to your high beams, and if you want the ability to control is separately just wire in a switch. I'll be honest with you I've never bothered with a separate switch for high beam activated driving lights. I always want them on with the high beams, and if its to much light then it was time for dims anyway.

That answered it. Basically, without rewiring the BCM, it can't be done. Thanks.

What year XJ?
