For sale again.. what should I do?

i paid just over $5K for mine with 165,000 miles on it. MUCH cheaper than any others in the condition it was in. i don't even want to think how much coin i have dropped in my Hoe so far...

if you were going to buy a GOOD stock 2-door out here and then pay for everything thats on that one. $9-$10K would be worth it. BUT it would have to check out 100% in person or i wouldn't pay that for it.

That's a pretty reasonable price judging from your pics. Seems like you've got a pretty clean, rust free Hoe.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say anyone who goes out and buys a 13 year old truck with 250,000+ miles on it and throws down 6K for that thing simply cuz it's a 2 door is an idiot and has more money than sense!! They need to be smacked in the face with an iron skillet.

I totally agree! I don't get it either. But it makes me sick when some of the guys from up north will chime in "I got my Hoe for 3500 with 125k on the odometer". You just won't find that down here unless it's got 300k on the clock and has been sitting in someones barn for 5 years.

not so rust free anymore. have some body work to do this spring. new driver side rockers and need to reskin the bottom of the driver door. normal chevy rot.

can't even say the last time I've seen a 2-door on a car lot around here. getting harder to find.

I hear ya. What probably makes the biggest difference in price is up north the vehicles are more prone to being rusted piles of crap as opposed to down south they stay pretty rust free for a very long time so that drives the price up (or at least keeps them from going down) so therefore the prices in the southern states stay higher than that of the northern states.

I paid 6750.00 for mine. its a 97 gmc yukon gt with four wheel drive. it had 13500 miles on it. yea trucks are more down here. unless it doesnt have a motor or is falling apart. so yea thats a reasonable price for it. and i actually drove that one that your looking at. its a nice truck. we offered 9500 for it and they turned us down. i would not get rid of a cami for that though.

If you just want a stock rig, you wouldn't be looking at this thing to begin with.

The reality is that aftermarket stuff DOES add value to the truck if the buyer WANTS that sort of rig. A dealer or private seller isn't going to give it away at just NADA or KBB with all that on it. General rule of thumb for aftermarket stuff, if it's less than a year old and shows no wear, I'd add 50% of the best price I could buy and install it for. If the modifications are older or show some normal wear/tear, I'd say it's worth 33% of what my best price is for the stuff new. I've bought and sold a lot of vehicles that were highly modified, especially motorcycles where I've doubled their cost new with engine building, custom suspension, etc. (Hayabusas's, etc.) and have never had a problem getting a good price for them with a buyer that wants a turn-key machine.

Bottom line, if someone wants a turn-key truck, they're going to pay the money....I'd say easy $9k if it's intact as the seller indicates. Just do the math for what all those mods would cost just to purchase, your time for labor or labor bill at a shop and I'll bet $9k is pretty fair.

You must not sell your vehicles very quickly then. I've always driven modified rides that were tasteful and clean never has anyone been willing to pay for the truck and the added amount just cuz it's got some modifications to it.
