when im driving down the road , my temp is creeping down towards 40 , but when i stop it creeps back up to just under the 100 , and doesn't go higher than that

i have read about something called a cold front? basically a SS plate that clips onto your grill , but my concern is overheating because not enough air is rushing over the rad

am i the only person to have this problem? or am i just really ****?

I'm glad I didn't rip into you for being a retard. I would have had to swallow my pride, but I really thought you were retarded there for a minute. Kpa? C? WTF? My American ignorance almost got the better of me, but I'm getting better.

+1 for a new thermostat. Simple, easy, bolt on fix.

no worries , after reading what you guys have put i was starting to think i should enroll in the university of DUHHHHHH , but yeah our temps in C and oil pressure in KPA , which is stupid cause the sides of our tires still say a max PSI

anyways how much if any coolant do i need to drain to replace the T stat? I have only ever done them on import motors which need a bunch of the coolant drained

Or you can take opportunity, and drain the whole dern thing. Just uncork the spigot at the bottom of the radiator, and let it piss in the parking lot. Heh. It takes a good couple gallons to fill it, but then you know you're good going into winter. And premixed antifreeze is cheap.
