It's the rear axle. Draining and refilling ours last weeks seems to have made the noise go away completely.

Can you park the truck outside the dealership over night? I had to do that to get it fixed this last time. Also parked it so they had to do at least one big turn to get it into the bay. Requested that a tech drive it when it was cold. Sure enough they found it. Also give them the TSB number referenced earlier in this thread.

Ditto on the TSB. Had mine drained and refilled and the problem cleared up. Dealer said they've seen it take 2 or 3 flushes to fully clear up and if it happens again to come back.

my 22 tahoe also doing it, remote start doesnt seem to make a diffence on days where outside temp is below 30 the noise is constant. on days where its slightly warmer out the noise only occurs when we first start driving. 30k miles... npise began at 29,000 miles.. when i get to dealer..20 miles away I cant replicate it.. very frustrating---

Hello! I have a 2022 Tahoe. Recently, when I start my car and immediately drive, when you are turning say from a street so your making a harder turn, the front wheels or somewhere in that area makes a humming noise sorta like a hmm hmm hmm. I did bring it in for a different reason and they couldn’t replicate the noise. However I’ve since realized it only during a cold start and go, when you’re driving for a bit and turn left or right hard it doesn’t make the noise anymore. Any ideas what it could be? Or ideas to let mechanic know to check. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my tahoo Lt 2016

Just took my 2021 Yukon SLT 4WD 39,000K miles in for this issue. The dealership had to replace the differential axle lubricant three times to fix the noise issue.

It was in the shop overnight, and covered under powertrain warranty and Bulletin #21-NA-028 seems to be running smoothly now but only driven about 30 miles.
Hi, Wondering if the problem is still there. I have a 2022 tahoe & they replaced the differential axle lubricant 3 times as well. The problem never went away & now they are telling me to drive it for 5,000 miles before they can do anything else, but can't find anywhere in a gm bulletin where is says customer must drive 5,000 miles

If it didn’t clear up after three oil changes, you have a mechanical problem. If they won’t do anything with it, I would start complaining to GM.

I did the rear diff, added the GM 10-4003 LSA and also the Yukon Modifer (LSA). It took about 75-100 miles, but it's quiet as can be right now. It's a super quick job, less than 30 minutes.

As a side note, it did not clear up until I added the additional Yukon Modifer.
