I don't own a vehicle that has air suspension, specifically asking for those that have the 2025 HC. I'm reading the manual and it seems like it is doable, but would like confirmation from someone that has used this feature in a 2025 tahoe.

According to the manual, if you set it to entry/exit (can be done at any speed) it will lower the vehicle once you hit 7mph. If you exceed 5mph it will raise the vehicle to normal height.

This ride height can be selected in the Ride
Height menu at any vehicle speed. When
Entry/Exit Height is selected at higher speeds,
the vehicle will lower once it slows to less than
12 km/h (7 mph).

The vehicle automatically raises to Normal
Height from Entry/Exit Height when the
vehicle speed exceeds 8 km/h (5 mph). If no
door has been opened since lowering to Entry/
Exit Height, the vehicle will raise to Normal
Height once it reaches 30 km/h (19 mph). This
gives the driver more flexibility when lowering
to Entry/Exit Height for passenger pick up and
drop off.

My question is for parking garages. Some parking garages have lights and cages that protect the lights which obviously change the ceiling clearance. If I were to set the setting to entry/exit (the lowest setting) when I'm stopped at the entry gate, will the vehicle drop at that point and raise to normal height if I exceed 5mph in the parking garage? BTW, 5mph is not that fast and driving through a parking garage at that speed could take a while.

I think the normal ride height is going to be fine for parking garages (even with 24" wheels), but I wanted to ask the question just to see what others say.

Thanks.

You read correctly.

Entry/Exit height works exactly as documented in the manual. Will raise back up at 5MPH if a door is opened.

As the manual says, itwill defer to not raising until 19MPH if you do not open a door.

Your parking garage example is probably ok for ENTERING the garage, but be careful on the exit…because once you park, turn off the vehicle and leave, you opened the door…so now the reset is back to 5MPH.

I have not actually tried re-entering “Entry/Exit height” just after starting. But would think this would work..but not sure if the vehicle has to raise first before it locks back in to Entry/Exit height. Suggest testing it outside a structure first.

As an aside, if you are entering a structure with less than 2” of margin, I’d seriously consider skipping that structure…not relying on Entry/Exit height!

I wouldn't take the risk and assume that the entry/exit setting and/or lowering the car, manually, would be enough to clear a low clearance area. If it were tight at 'normal' height, but still clears, I'd lower to entry/exit just for additional clearance.

The good news is that the 25 tahoe (HC with 24s) and the 2020 tahoe (premier with 22s) are very close to the same height when the HC is in 'normal' mode.

FYI, I don't think there is any real difference between the heights of the factory 24" tires and factory 22" tires on these trucks. So, the fact that you're getting 24" wheels vs 22" wheels shouldn't factor in to this conversation. Just a heads-up for you.

Yup, they are basically identical in size.
