We went through some pretty cool tunnels in Hawaii. With that said, we were in a rented Nissan Sentra so............. :okay2:
The closest actual tunnel to me is either the tunnel that goes under Mobile Bay or in Gatlinburg

Also if there WERE any tunnels near me my gas mileage would be WAY worse than the 11 I'm currently getting

Don't be coy with us, Mister. We can tell that you're madder than hungry lion over there. Please settle down. Sheesh.

An short early morning run through the tunnel.

I forgot all about that tunnel lol.

I like overpasses in my Ram. It's not fast by any means, but it's so loud it sounds like stock cars emerging from the tunnel at Daytona when you get on it going under and overpass!

Been super busy, but finally had a chance to get a few things done tonight.

Sent out my Esky end caps, passenger door handle, that I broke, and my OEM lift gate handle for paint.

Man they look good. The painter took the end caps all the way back to bare plastic as the multiple coats of orange and primer from Young28 and my coatings were making the ends peel back. Looked terrible. He primed, shot 3 top coats and more clear coats.

I popped them on and traded out the door handle. Will get the lift gate swapped out soon. The aftermarket one I originally put on is squeaky and feels a bit weak.

I figured parts were going to the shop, so why not throw it in the mix.

Thanks to @HiHoeSilver for a custom set of OEM lift gate struts.

I tried the Strong Arm brand and number that was recommended, but wasn’t happy with the fitment so I sent them back.

We got to talking and he offered to send me his OEM ones as he had the Strong Arm ones. The OEM ones are made by Stabilus.

There was a small bit of rust and pitting on the cylinder, but nothing near the shaft. So Nate hit them on the wire wheel, then decided to go further and took off all the paint.

Now there is a cool pair of brushed stainless struts holding up my lift gate.

Figured the 06 might as well have something different than black. Custom in a small way, all the way from ChiTown.

Thx man.

I replaced all my window struts and lift gate struts about 3 months ago. Got the Dorman ones from Autozone and they hold everything up really well.

Is this a scratch?View attachment 221400

:chair: Left over from the OEM roof rack. Don’t remind me. I hate the imperfections in my paint.

Those struts look really good paintless. Will they rust from the humidity in Fl?

To be tested and we thought about that. I am going to rock it like this for a bit. If it becomes an issue, I will probabaly clear coat them.
