@OHSIXX thx much. That means a lot. It has been fun. And lots of great input and ideas on TYF got me there.

I think your input may have emptied a few $$ from my mod wallet.

That HD hood is on the list maybe one day. I do like the beefy front profile of that hood. The painters are ready to roll if I can find one.

Keeping my eyes open and thinking of the next tasteful mod to do...

No problem sorry if I helped empty your wallet lol. I think the HD hood adds so much-I kinda keep an eye open for one around here but they are few and far between. Mine would be more of a project since there is cutting and welding involved. I also don't have a body shop around here that I could trust to take on the task. Who knows with tax time around the corner-I'll at least have some fun $$ to do something to the Denali. Having a house really changes priorities when it comes to where you spend your money-or at least in my case. Its been awhile since I've done anything to mine-getting that itch lol

Thx man. House and kids double whammy. Just got hammered with a 200 amp electrical panel upgrade. Ouch!! But wouldn't trade it for anything. Yeah the Denali mod for the HD hood is a bit.

TYF bad influence on the $$. But I have a 73k Tahoe with loads of life left and no payments.

Some days I put the cover on in the carport just so I don't have to be pressured to wash her down. Thankfully I don't have the winter blues like you guys do up north/Midwest.

Good reason for keeping her low to the ground so you cannot see the frame and axles.

Time for you to bring that black beast closer to the ground @OHSIXX. You know you want to.

A few other ideas in the works.... to be updated as they evolve...

I agree having a house is such a sense of accomplishment. I'll definitely be looking into a drop which may or may not include new 22's....time will tell. Mine is still just broke in with 110K on it and being 10 years old. Jelly of your low miles though.....Hiding those axels and frame is a good idea-if you saw mine you'd wonder how it stays together...damn salt!!

So after two months away, it's time to get back to work on some of the projects I have been wanting to complete.

The truck has sat under the carport since late May. Wife not happy, but she has indulged me while I was away. The truck stayed fairly clean under the truck cover, but still needs a wash.

The brakes held up pretty well. A little surface rust from sitting, but the painted parts on the rotors and calipers still look good from when I did the brake job before the summer.

The front and rear chrome bumpers are at the painters to finish the color matching this week. Should have those installed by next week, if no delays at the paint shop.

Installed the chrome Depo projectors today. A retro may be in the future works, but will stick with the bulbs that are in there for now. Had a gift card so they only cost me about $15 via Amazon Prime. Can't go wrong with that.

Here's a few pics of them installed, low and high beam looks. Haven't had a chance to drive with them yet. I think they look pretty good without going too far away from the OEM look.

Hey man what kind of corner lights are those down there? Are they led? I have a pair of te depos on order & that corner light combo you have going on there is pretty nasty id like to do it on mine

Thank you. I spent lots of time getting tips and input from guys on the TYF. The transformation over the past two years has been great and so worth it. Really happy with the direction I took. Nothing too radical and all functional and tasteful. IMO anyways.

Follow this link to an earlier post in my build thread for the lower eBay LED bumper/parking lights. They look great and change the look a lot. Was happy to ditch the amber corner markers as well.

The headlights are Depo projectors. Really like the output. Not HID but a big difference over OEM.

So many great trucks and ideas on this forum and lots of guys to get good technical, troubleshooting and aesthetic ideas to make your truck stand out. Good luck. It's a lot of fun.

I've got a set of depo headlight me & a good friend of mine are putting the retro fit Denali projectors on it there pretty good & right now I have the all clear corners on te bottom right now it'll look pretty nasty when it's all together because my truck is black so I think the clear lights will be pretty sick with the black bow tie & all. As far as looks for now I'm just trying to do the esky rear vents the led tail lights tints. Mines is a z71 so I just wanna take all rails off & what not then it's all suspension work lowering it & getting the ride nice & stiff future plans are a 6.0

Sounds like some good plans. That retro will look good, as well I liked ditching the amber corners. Cleaned it up nicely. Be interesting to see how you make out.

image.jpg This is the headlight pretty much finished just gotta clean up the lens on the outside & drill a hole to pull the cord threw for the projector high beam & then they'll go on on. As you saw in the last one I'm out here in alsaka lol I myself I'm from Boston MA though I'm in the army so this is my duty station lol. Not bad here though not much colder than home & less snow
