I use steel wool and glass cleaner for anything on the windows.

That's the problem in Florida is that hard, almost like an acid rain. Destroys paint unless your keep up on maintenance.

As always truck lookin perfect. Have you thought about a 6.0 engine cover?

Yes I've heard about the steel wool trick, but had this stuff and the DA out so I went to town. The water is very hard here. I usually move the trucks when the sprinklers go off as that is the worst water spot contributor of all and try to wash them at least once per week since we live near the beach.

Even though we don't have the road salts like you snowy guys, the east winds always leave a salty sheen on the paint and then gets baked in by the sun. Heck, I even Rain X'd my house impact windows to try and keep the hard water deposits to a minimum from the sprinklers.

I've used half water and half vinegar with steel wool and it worked. Most of the time I just use 3m rubbing compound #1 and they come right off.

Took a few sunny shots after the detail.

I was showing our regular postman how I was detailing the paint and he asked how long ago it was since I painted it.

Told him it was 10 year old OEM paint. Must be doing something right. :D

I'm still wondering why he hasn't shaved his hatch yet

Exhaust tip would look clean. :hmm:
Street scene mirrors maybe.:hmm:
Denali engine cover.:hmm:
Street scene polished mesh grille inserts :hmm:

And maybe a cheap roll pan just to switch between roll pan and bumper just to give us guys a visual :High 5:

I like the looks of that tip or something along those lines, but haven't decided on anything yet.

Thx man. Lots of time on the DA wheel trying to keep her super shiny. That metallic Dark Ming Blue just pops in the sun. Pretty happy with the outcome of that detail work on the paint, especially the roof. That one kicked my ass!
