I have a rattle in the driver’s door panel (2017 Escalade). It’s just loud enough to be annoying, and seems to be right next to my ear. I believe I have found the source because when I put a little pressure with just one finger on the door panel, the rattle goes away. So what should I do? Do you think silicon spray will fix the issue?

If I place my finger with just a small amount of pressure at either one of these locations while driving over bumpy roads, the rattle goes away. Thanks in advance!

Same spots, doors open.

I’d put some insulating strips or something right where it’s rattling and see if it adds enough pressure to stop it. Something like this. 17e53cc264fff860a77a0433f0424667.jpg

Thanks. Probably, but I don’t want the dealer taking the door apart and go fishing. I don’t think it’s straight forward enough for the dealer and they might make it worse. I’m not totally ruling that out, but would rather try to fix it myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you put it on the door or the body? I think either could cause enough pressure, maybe.

I’d say door. Would probably stick better. Worth a shot.

Pull on that plastic and then shove that weatherstrip stuff in there. Or better yet, there are simple clips holding that piece on, yank it, foam tape under that piece of trim then push it back on, cleaner than looking at on door, i bet pulling it and just reseating it will help a bunch too.

I stopped several squeaks around the center console with silicone spray. They have never come back. Easy fix for squeaks and rattles which I can't stand. Also I see several posting on here for second row and liftgate noise. I have my wife drive and I climb in the back and find the source of the squeak. Had a Honda once and rode around in the trunk until I found that one. Good luck with these squeaks and rattles as they will drive you crazy.

I have had good results from reforming the top of the door by lowering the glass and closing the door till my fingers are between the door frame and the body, now press inward on the widow frame and prevent the door closing. This bends the widow frame ever so slightly , no rattles left
