Hello I just bought a 1995 gmc yukon 2 door. Truck has very little rust on the body. When I went to do an oil change on the truck the other day this is what I saw.

Does anyone else have this issue? does anyone sell a sleeve or a kit to fix this? After finding this I looked over the rest of the frame and everything looks solid.
Thanks for the help
Mark

Here are some pics of the truck

Ooooooh. That's no good. Um, get on it with a needle scaler or an abrasive, with the rig on jack stands, and remove everything you can. Weld in a patch plate. Not a biggy, but you'll get ***** at the shop, if you don't have well-equipped friends.

damn, my monitor at work is so old and bad the whole picture looks black to me. if it is the frame rails I wire brushed mine, then hit them with a scrub brush and dish soap, after it dried I brshed on some think semi-gloss rustomlium paint.

It's full thickness rust- the frame tube has cracked with a hole in it probably a foot long. Paint isn't going to cover this one...

if its welded on and ground good enough they probably won't even notice the patch. hit the entire frame with a good coat of paint and you'll be set.

i used rustoleum rusty metal primer, and 3 coats of their black enamel. been through 2 summers and a winter so far and no chips. just make sure its wire brushed really well and washed with soap and water before you begin.
