Those look great! Nice work!
I got a set of the same wheels in the gray work truck fashion for $150 with tires. I'm working on selling the old tires off them and hopefully I can get $100 or so out of them.
I couldn't justify spending $250+ on powder coating a $50 set of wheels. Anyway, I've got a lot of experience doing body work and paint prep so I figured I'd just tackle the wheels with some rattle can.
I've got the wheels sanded down smooth, feathered all the scratches and chips, and last night I laid down some etching primer. I'll hit that with some fine grit, clean them up, and lay down some primer sealer and then the Duplicolor wheel coating color/clear.
It should hold up pretty well, but obviously it's not as good as PC. We'll see how I like them...if I get attached to them maybe I'll pull them off and PC them someday.
I ordered a set of 285/70-17 Goodyear Duratracs for them yesterday.
Coolade, I wouldn't go any wider than 285 on the 7.5" wide wheel. Once you get to a 295 it's best to have at least an 8" wide wheel.
