New guy from the european side of the atlantic.
Born in the Netherlands 43 years ago, now living here fir 11.5 years.
One girlfriend, one son, two dogs, seven cats, one 2011 Hyundai i40 (might be called sonata in the US), one 1977 Dodge W 200 and since a few days back one 2002 GMC Yukon XL 1500 5.3 with lift gate.
It´s got some kind of dark grey (steel blue?) color.
Imported to Sweden in 2006, it had one owner in NY, here it has had 6 owners including one dealership (importer?).
I´m pretty happy with it, the few days I have had it now.

Dunno what more to write.

I just keep it the way it is.
Have to get a pair of fog lights, they are gone, but the cables are still there.
Could have been in a minor accident, don´t know for sure.
There is no difference in the chassis between front and rear (brand shiny new vs old and rusty).
It all looks used (rusty at a few places).
Planning to do a complete underbody coating, company job with endoscopic test (small camera going through all the chassis channels to determine what-how-where-how much of this and that).
Do I need to inform you all about the parking/brake light... it comes on after a few miles and stays on all the time.
But no ABS light!!!
Don´t know if it even is there, are these ordinary bulbs, or is it led or whatever?
Checked it with my autoXray 6000, no codes, everything seems to work ok.
Engine running smooth, 11000 mls on it, not much for a 2002, but it came to Sweden in 2006, one previous owner in NY before that.
Are there cables running to the original rear shocks when you have the manual leveling system, and how would it work?

Welcome from a half Swede.

Light could be due to the parking brake switch. Disconnect it and see if the light still comes on. If it doesn't then it is probably the switch. If it still comes on then check that wire for a short to ground. If no short is present, possible failed cluster. Parking brake wire at the cluster should be Green/White, connector A, pin 12.

Wouldn't the light flash, like it does when the paring brake is engaged?
When I release it, the light turns steady...
But I can test and see if it changes.

OOP..forgot about the blinky side.

Could be the fluid level switch going out. Or a wiring problem with that. IIRC it is down on the ABS hydraulic block. 2 wire plug. Trip to ground closes the circuit so check that for a short to ground, too.

Cool.
Will do that when I come back from my vacation.
Week and a half from now.
Don't have a way to check now.
