axle seal for a newb
Hi all,
I am new to four wheel drive and a 2001 yukon I recently bought.
The pass front axle seal is leaking and it *likely* needs an outer tie rod and maybe a wheel bearing. Not quite sure on them yet.
I have not done front end work and yet it appears after watching tube videos and reading posts that it's not too bad, just takes time. I am careful in what I do, but don't want something to go south because I didn't do some simple task like using loctite where required.
I have done jobs like water pumps and radiators but not this type of repair. Should this be done by a newbie to front ends?
Also, it seems to me that all the above mentioned repairs should be done all at once to eliminate additional repair time?
Advise please? Cash is tight but I don't want to screw it up either.
Thank you.
