It's pretty ****** we spend all this money for quality General motors and instead we get cracked dashboards and wet floorboards and my 2012 Yukon denali only has 79,000 miles on it what are my options for getting this dash fixed?

$518!!! And that was half off, I get why, but dang, I’ll either super glue it or deal with it for that amount of green.

It happened to me twice now. Second crack just showed up on the drivers side as well. The first crack I noticed was about January. From what I've been seeing in this thread, it's very common. The first one goes from the passenger side airbag cover, top left corner, forward towards the defroster vents about 1" long. The second one just happened yesterday on the drivers side, just left of the instrument cluster hump, about 2" long going forward. From reading through a small portion of this thread, it's apparent that Chevrolet has not fixed the defective product so I probably won't replace the part knowing the next one will crack also. Mine is a 2011 LTZ 108,000 miles.

My Tahoe is from Texas and has a few cracks, as well... I think I'm going to pick up one of those dash caps that are $150 or so on eBay.

My 09 Tahoe LTZ dash has not cracked, but I may know why. I'm the second owner, at some point the first owner had the dash apart. The clip in the middle of the dash, by the center speaker, broke off (it clips to the smaller part of the dash for the defroster vents. So since that part of the wasn't clipped, the 2 parts move separately. I added a foam block under the broken clip just forward of the center speaker, because it just flexed up and down so bad. I've had it like this for well over a year and so far, no cracks. I believe the clips that hold the smaller part to the large part of the dash is what causes the cracks to start in the first place, because that small part doesn't flex much because it's small, and it pushes down on the large, mostly unsupported parts of the dash, and it just flops up and down and wears out like a credit card does when you fold and flex them. This is just a theory of mine.
