I'm going to 4.10 gears next week with an Eaton ELocker in the rear. Problem is as hard as I've searched the interweb and the shops around here I've asked, I can't find a locker or even limited-slip for the front.
I'm told there is nothing for us. Have I been given bad info? Has someone out there found something for us?
Is there any sort of locker for our trucks?

Would this work? It fits the 8.2 inch gear.

There's no locker for the IFS. The only way that would happen is to SAS.

Is it possible to change the ring gear out for an 8.2 or an 8.5? I don't know much about the inside of differentials.

The front is an 8.5 inch ring gear and I dont think you can stuff a 8.5 in there. Quite a big difference.

putting a bigger gear in there wouldn't help the weak case and CV shafts any way. I read about a lot of guys with half ton trucks breaking cvs and wanting to upgrade to the 3/4 ton cvs....cvs are cheaper than the case. In my opinion I would want the weak point of anything to be the lower cost item rather than bust the case and end up rebuilding the whole differential after a break.

I'll check into ring gear size, but a 2009-2010 Hummer H3 has a push-button locker as an option on the front axle. Those (in V8 Alpha form, not the Inline 5) came with 4.10 gears.

As I and anyone else will say though, even if you find a way to lock that front it will break.
