ok guys i pulled a front diff out of a 99, i pulled the lift of of it and rolled the whole front over as one piece, i rolled the pinion around and it was as smooth as a kieth stone with almost no back lash or play... anyways its leaking fron the bottom of the diff and im currently in the middle of doing my exhaust so my drivshaft will clear and hooking up the electric actuator because mine was gas... whats the best way to attack this problem pull the whole diff out and take it to a shop? could i throw another gasket in it myself, while im there it would give me a chance to inspect everything i would like to put new gear oil in it anyways... have any of you done this yourselves and what has it cost me in a shop to have it done?
