ok, next problem.

drive shaft is getting stuck in Tcase. this is a used tcase that i bought and had looked at by a professional. that professional had to pound out the old drive shaft.

now trying to install the drive shaft from my tahoe. it wont go in like the rear. it gets stuck. i started to tap it in and then thought i might be screwing something up.

is this normal? should I keep tapping until I can get the ujoint in? or take it out with some pounding?

thanks

strongly suggest you inspect the splines and joint for damage. also compare old and use t-case outputs to see if you notice a difference. should slide in without hammering.

thanks, I got it back out. stuck my head up there with a light. splines look good but there's alot of surface corrosion. started working it with a toothbrush and wd40 and it looks alot better. going to get a wire brush and work it and put a little oil on it. hopefully that does the trick. i figure with the tolerances at work here, corrosion or dirt will jam it up.

thanks again
