Hi, I have a 2003 2WD GMC Yukon XLT. 124,000miles. It's in amazing shape and so far Ive only had two problems: 1. the clicking noise when turning (annoying but not a safety issues)
2. This is a noise I cannot figure out, nor can my mechanic and his senior mechanic. This noise only happens in the first 15-20 minutes of driving, and most often in the first 1 mile. It is a continuous sound that lasts from 2-10 seconds and sounds like it is coming from the front end of the vehicle. The first time I heard it, I thought I had passed by a goose and scared it into honking. It's a low pitch hhhaaaaaawwww sound. It doesn't change whether I accelerate or brake. It does stop completely when I stop the vehicle. The problem is that it's very annoying and embarrassing. It's about as loud at a truck horn, that someone is blaring as they drive down the road. everyone stops and stares.
My mechanic took a look and thinks that it's the ABS sensor that is going bad. But wasn't sure. They suggested taking it to the dealership, because they know their vehicles best.
I had the entire brake system replace, and unrelatedly, the tye rods as well, prior to this noise beginning to happen. the mechanic said the ABS sensor is not touched or worked on, when brake systems (pads/rotors replaced).

Anyone have this issue or can you suggest something that I can look into?
Thank you!

I agree I would check your belts and pulleys, but also the clicking noise you hear is that when you turn all the way to the left or right??? Mine is doing the same thing but its more of a click and grind... And sorry about your goose hope you find her
