Anyone have an idea of the service life of these? I'm in the process of swapping everything up front out for moog. I've done idler, pitman, pitman bracket, and have ball joints and tie rod inners/outers in the garage. While it's apart I'm swapping the brakes out, and was thinking of doing the bearings if it seemed necessary. Truck is an 04 Tahoe with 193k on the clock.

Do you know if they've ever been replaced before? If they haven't been done in a while then you might want to do them while you have the brakes apart. Definitely wouldn't be a bad idea. With the brakes apart their right there, like three more bolts, a nut and the wheel speed sensor connector. If you get the wheel bearing assembly they come with new wheel speed sensors too.

Might as well then. I just bought the truck, so I'm working through a (expensive) list of maintenance items so I don't break down in the woods somewhere with my camp trailer in tow.

Also, on my 96 Z71 K1500, the 4x4 actuators had to be updated along with the harness for reliability. Was this still an issue in '04?

My alignment shop said mine had too much play at 185k. I consider that a reasonable time frame.
