Front & Rear Diff Lube?

I would like to do some PM on my 2021 Z71 Tahoe, but I can’t find the type of front & rear differential fluid. Manual says “Consult dealer”, other oil sites don’t have anything listed. Surely someone has changed fluid by now. What did you use?

To make matters worse, I can’t tell if I have the G80, the G86, or ?


Also, Anyone change transmission fluid yet?

The rpo code for the diff should be on a sticker inside the glovebox door. Have you tried calling the dealer for the part number of the fluid? Then see if it’s the same part number for older models that have listings.

Why change it so soon? Lots of miles? @915_Tahoe can get you the part number.

Found out the RPO codes from the QR code inside the driver door jamb. RPO codes are no longer inside the glove box door.

I indeed have the G86 rear diff. Not sure the part number or type of fluid?

I want to change it so soon for PM maintenance and get all the initial wear particles flushed out. And switch to synthetic if not already.
