Tom, just take a screw out of your wheel well liner and match it up to a screw at the hardware store. It'll be the same part. Just be cautious about the length. If I recall correctly, the length I got for my sister to fix her 05 Yukon with the same problem was between 1/4"-1/2" (6mm-12mm).

Thank you !

Update:
Sadly, I have pushpins in the wheel well.
I've tried ti use the screw that maintained the plastic part around the antenna mast but it's not good : too short.
I've tried the screw the tighten the driver sunshield, it fits but its too short too.

I've tried this :
http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAsse...line=6246&ukey_trimlevel=15077&modelYear=2003

and this:
http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAsse...imLevel=15077&ukey_modelRange=0&searchString=

and this:
http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAsse...evel=15077&ukey_modelRange=0&searchString=sun

And never they mentionned this screw. I'm going wacko! lol

Here some more pictures as I have some difficulties to be clearly understandable ont hte chat. I have lack of vocabulary and sometimes my grammar is... weird. ;)

Retainers?
Correct me if I'm wrong but the arrows shows the part nammed retainers, right?

The red arrows shows where the retainers clips themselve to the roof.
The white arrow show where the screw is screwed.

Don't worry about your vocabulary, it all works out in the end!!
As for the screw, if the sunshade screw does indeed thread into the "screw clip area" in the roof that you pointed out in the pic, then I'd be guessing that you need just a bit longer of a screw to make it work for your console!! Probably only need a screw that's 1/4" longer then the sunvisor screw you have tried to use!

I assume you guys in France have hardware stores that you can buy generic screws and stuff for household items, right? Should be able to take that sunvisor screw into one of those stores and get an identical one except 1/4" longer and give it a try!

I hate to say it Tom, but from the looks of your pic, even though you were able to fix your console, looks to me that you have a few screws loose because of it!! ha hahaha

So, those were about 1 1/4" long? How many turns of the screw driver did you get to tighten it?

Congrats on the fix, drives me up the walls when I have stuff like this unfinished on my rig so I don't blame you at all for wanting to fix it!

Figured i'd post these axle diff pics on here since this is your thread and you got your original question answered!! First one is the drivers side and the second ones is the passenger side, check the area of your axles where I'm pointing and take a pic of it for us on a new thread, try to get this straight on view of it as well, easier to see where the problem is!! If it's leaking here, then you need new axle seals, otherwise I'd say you have a tear in your CV boot!
